Ryan attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. As an engineer, Ryan evaluates compliance issues related to chemical, electrical and mechanical products. He has assisted clients with the classification, licensing and labeling of products controlled by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA); the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the European Environment Agency (EEA), and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
Ryan also provides data analysis and systems design for compliance programs. He uses automated tools to leverage data for trade compliance purposes. His technical proficiency has facilitated key services provided by Rock Trade Law including: database management; duty drawback analysis, risk evaluations; reconciliation, and overall import and export compliance evaluations.
