Legal Experience
Larry has spent his entire legal career advising and representing private clients in all areas of customs law and international trade regulation. He has represented clients from a wide range of industries, including medical/health care devices and supplies, telecommunications and electronics, steel and aluminum, wearing apparel, toys, games, and sports equipment.
Admissions Information
Larry is admitted to the Illinois bar (1984), the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Northern District of Illinois (including Trial Bar), and the United States Supreme Court. He has also appeared on behalf of clients before many federal agencies, including the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (formerly the U.S. Customs Service), the Commerce Department (International Trade Administration), the International Trade Commission, the United States Trade Representative (USTR), the Federal Trade Commission, the Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Maritime Commission.
Bar Association, Professional and Community Organizations
Larry is a member of the Customs and International Trade Bar Association (CITBA) and the Chicago Bar Association, having served as both the chair and vice-chair of the CBA Customs & U.S. International Trade Law Committee. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on customs and international trade law matters, and formerly on the faculty of William Rainey Harper College, Palatine, Illinois, where for many years he taught courses in U.S. import regulation.

Larry is a graduate of Illinois State University (B.M.E. 1975) and Chicago-Kent College of Law/IIT (J.D. with High Honors 1984). He is fluent in French.
